the Bleezards

So we are stuck here once again as it is blizzarding again. We were supposed to leave for florida last saturday but we ended up getting about 28 inches of snow friday/saturday which foiled our plans to get on a plane to sunny 70 degree Florida saturday morning. We weren't too upset since we were just so excited to be on vacation and all be home together (Aaron hadn't had a weekend off since mid December and work was sucking a big one for me... which p.s. resulted in me quitting my job; yes, i am now a full time mom! but that is a whole other story/blog entry to be detailed later) we were actually pretty excited to go out and play in the snow. It was Miles's first blizzard since we completely missed the first philly blizzard at the end of December. We were in Ohio at the time and came back to 50 degree weather that completely melted all the snow... snow? what snow? At any rate, we took this opportunity to have Miles experience his first big snow storm....

It really was blizzard like conditions (snow coming down hard, high winds...) and... let's just say that Miles didn't really appreciate it as much as we had hoped....

Isha on the other hand, looooves the snow and the outside and was just a nut (as usual) burrowing and tunneling through the snow...

Since we couldn't leave right away, we actually decided to take the opportunity to make a quick road trip to Cleveland to start house hunting. The roads were surprising clear and the weather was great on Sunday so we made our way to Ohio across the vast nothingness of western pennsylvania. Miles was great on the 6-7 hour car ride.... slept when he was supposed to sleep and ate when he was supposed to eat. We played in the back seat for a while...

After some playing, eating, sleeping, and a little crying... we made it to Cleveland. It was a quick trip, but had a great productive day of house hunting... saw 16 houses! and have a lot to decide on... and then got back on the road yesterday just in time to have another flight cancelled because of another blizzard. blast! We're hoping for a departure on Saturday, and in the meantime we may need to find some entertainment involving the snow... since that is the only thing around right now...
